NBA Finals Prediction

lj-smithIn just a few days the NBA 2010-11 regular betting online seasons will be over. To say this has been one of the most memorable sports betting basketball seasons would be a vast understatement, as there has been plenty of player movement. Here is our prediction as to who will win the NBA title this season.

Despite the NBA playoffs being an entirely brand new season, we see the way the regular season ends being the same as how the playoffs end, with Chicago and San Antonio on top. This year, we feel there will be a changing of the guard, as the veteran Spurs, bow out to the youthful Bulls in six games in the NBA finals.

Made up of the core of Manu Ginobli, Tony Parker and Tim Duncan, the Spurs were supposed to take a step back this year. Instead, thanks to a bench made up of George Hill, Richard Jefferson, and Matt Bonner to name a few, the San Antonio Spurs have literally demolished their opponents this season.  Through the first 79 games of the regular season, the San Antonio Spurs have accumulated an overall record of 60 wins and 19 losses, giving them the best record in the entire NBA.  To put that into perspective, when the Miami Heat signed Lebron James and Chris Bosh to play with Dwayne Wade this summer, basketball pundits put anything under 73 wins in 82 games as a disappointment for the Heat.

Conversely, the Chicago Bulls despite bringing in a couple of new players and a new Head Coach have improved drastically, from the teams that had 41 – 41 records the last couple of seasons. This year, the Bulls have the second best record in the NBA, at 57 – 20 with five games to go in their season.  When they meet the Spurs in the NBA final, regardless of which team walks away with the NBA title, the fans will be the real winners.
