NHL Betting – Bruins Will Have Problems Getting Off Their Heels Against Canucks

If game one was any indication, the Boston Bruins are going to have a ton of problems keeping up with the Vancouver Canucks in this year’s NHL Stanley Cup finals. Despite the fact that the final score was just 1-0 in favor of the Presidents trophy winners, anyone who watched the game can understand why the Bruins will have a tough time being aggressive against Vancouver in this series. The Canucks weathered several early penalties in the first period, battled through a tight second, and then took over in the third in an illustration of their depth and endurance ahead of the 2011 Belmont Stakes betting race.

Vancouver was all over the Bruins in the final sports betting frame, firing several shots off the posts and then firing several more into the pads of Tim Thomas. Thomas was absolutely phenomenal in the opener, making a couple of huge saves that kept Boston in the game up until the final seconds of the third when Raffe Torres finally broke the tiebreak. The Bruins had several powerplay chances but couldn’t finish, and although they were one of the most dominant teams during the regular season five-on-five they couldn’t solve Roberto Luongo in this one. Boston may not get a better opportunity than they did in the opener, and the fact that they couldn’t capitalize is testament to how strong the chances are that the Canucks will bring home the franchise’s first Stanley Cup.
