UFC Betting – Ortiz Elects To Take Fight With Evans At UFC 133
It didn’t take long for the fallout from the UFC 132 Pay Per View to play out and have an effect on future events, and while everyone knew that those results would have an impact, few could have predicted that it would be this drastic. UFC 133 was supposed to originally feature a title fight between UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Rashad Evans, but the former was unable to compete due to injury and it was rumored that Lyota Machida would be his replacement. After Machida declined the UFC approached Tito Ortiz to take the fight against Evans, and after he rejected the offer as well the UFC were left with nothing. Of course, that was simply unacceptable and with word that the UFC significantly sweetened the sports betting bonus pot for this fight Ortiz will now fight Evans at UFC 133.
Supposedly the offer was so good that Ortiz decided to take the fight despite the fact that his last bout will have been just over a month before UFC 133. The Huntington Beach Bad Boy made his big return with a submission win over Ryan Bader at UFC 132, ending a streak of three straight losses by making his opponent tap in the first round. It is questionable whether or not his body will be able to back him up for his second UFC fight in as many months, but either way Ortiz has accepted the challenge. Ortiz and Evans fought to a draw at UFC 73 back in July of 2007, with the second fight this August as Evans’ first bout in over a sports betting year following significant time recovering from injury.
