NFL 2011 Preview: Super Bowl XLVI Predictions

NFL

The goal of every NFL team that steps on the field for the 2011-2012 season is to be one of the two teams playing in Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis in February. There are a lot of interesting sports book questions that surround this Super Bowl. Can Indianapolis accomplish what the Cowboys failed to do and be the first host team to play in a Super Bowl? Can the Packers repeat? All of those questions will get answered in February but, for now, let’s take a look at the two teams that should be there when Super Bowl XLVI kicks off.

Green Bay Packers

The Packers are arrogant, cocky and taking everything in stride right now. They are also the defending Super Bowl champions. But it just seemed like the Packers’ run to Super Bowl XLV was a struggle from day one. Injuries kept the Packers down and Green Bay did not make the playoffs until the last day of the season. The Packers are the best team in the NFC, and they will show that when they dominate the conference during the regular season and take their place in Super Bowl XLVI when the NFC Championship game is over.

San Diego Chargers

If you bet football online, then you know the story of the 2010 San Diego Chargers. For most of the season, the Chargers had the best offense and defense in the NFL. But inept special teams and bad penalties were plaguing the Chargers and kept them out of the playoffs. It is now or never for Philip Rivers and his team, and this year the Chargers will deliver with an AFC championship win and an appearance in Super Bowl XLVI.

Pick: Green Bay Packers

Repeating as Super Bowl champions is difficult, but this team is so talented that it almost seems inevitable.
