NFL Betting – Patriots Primed For Another Super Bowl Season

NFL

The New England Patriots were once considered unbeatable in the NFL betting lines postseason. With Tom Brady at quarterback and Bill Belichick the head coach, the Patriots dominated the NFL at the beginning of the new millennium, winning the Super Bowl in 2001, 2003, and 2004. Things got tougher on the Patriots as the years progressed, prompting Belichick to go off the board and bring in some elite talent in the way of Randy Moss and Wes Welker back in 2007. New England went 18-0 that year before falling short against the New York Giants in the Super Bowl, and ever since they have not been able to find their way through the postseason. Once again in 2011 Belichick has gone off the board to bring in some talented additions, and with a promising young base on both sides of the ball, this could be the year that the Patriots go all the way.

Brady is back, as is Welker, and the entire offensive line. Chad Ocho Cinco comes over from the Cincinnati Bengals to line up on the outside opposite of Deion Branch, allowing Welker to shift over to the middle. Rookie running back Stevan Ridley looks like a keeper, as he has dominated so far this preseason. Defensively, Albert Haynesworth hasn’t played this preseason since coming over from the Washington Redskins, but with the Patriots using a lot of 4-3 looks he should be a dominant presence once again. Pro Bowl cornerback Devin McCourty is back, as is linebacker Jerod Mayo and Vince Wilfork. The Patriots have the weapons to be a Super Bowl team, and listed at 10-to-1 to win it all, those are looking like good online casino odds.
