UFC Betting – Edgar Hoping Third Time Is The Charm Against Maynard At UFC 136

All the pay per head instances where UFC Lightweight champion Frankie Edgar has been asked whether or not the third time will be the charm in his rivalry with No. 1 contender Gray Maynard may be enough to inspire him to finally get his first win in this ongoing saga. Maynard is the man responsible for the only blemish on Edgar’s resume, a unanimous decision loss back in April of 2008 under the UFC banner. When the two fought with the title on the line back on New Years Day 2011, the judges ruled the contest a draw, meaning that although Edgar had failed again to beat Maynard, he would retain his championship belt. That sportsbook reviews bout was recognized with Fight of the Night honors, and now, months later, the two men get set to once again step into the octagon against one another.

The fact that Edgar still received the winner money for their draw had to sting for Maynard, who is 1-0-1 against the current UFC Lightweight champion in his career. When “Lose My Mind” plays over the grand speakers at the Toyota Center in Houston this Saturday night, there is a good sports betting chance that the challenger may very well lose his mind in terms of bringing the fight to Edgar. Both of their tilts have gone to the judges decision, but perhaps the third time around Maynard will make sure that nothing is left to chance as he gets another title shot, and put away Edgar to become the new UFC Lightweight champion.
