NFL Betting û Bills Host Jets With Perfect Home Record, Division On The Line

It is week nine of the NFL regular season, and while both the New England Patriots and New York Jets are in contention for the NFC East crown, they are not alone as the Buffalo Bills have climbed in to a tie for first as one of the surprise teamÆs this season. With five wins through their first seven games and the tiebreak between them and the Patriots after they knocked off their division rivals earlier in the season, the Bills welcome New York to town looking to keep their perfect home record intact and prove once again that they deserve to be considered a legitimate sports betting contender.

New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills (-1.5)

Sunday, 1:00 PM ET

The Bills are 4-0 at home this NFL season, and while the Jets have registered consecutive wins they are still 0-3 as the visiting team, including losses at the Oakland Raiders, Patriots, and Baltimore Ravens. While the defense has once again looked strong defending the pass, there have been too many holes against the run and New York ranked 25th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed with an average of 126.9 against per game. That plays to the strengths of a Buffalo team that has averaged 140.6 yards on the ground this season for the fifth-best mark with running back Fred Jackson leading the way with an average of 5.5 with six touchdowns. Jackson will again get a lot of touches this weekend, and just like the BillsÆ opportune defense he will need to come up big once again if Buffalo is going to extend its perfect pay head run at Orchard Park.

NFL Betting Pick: Buffalo Bills  1.5
